The photos

The moments of "daily life" that you find exhibited here have been captured from the 1980s to today and are a tribute to a story of food and people under the sign of trust.

Many of the shots are by Angelo Mereu.

Angelo Mereu entered Rigolo for the first time in 1967. He was 14 years old, he came from the “small remote container”, Sardinia, according to the definition of the French geographer Maurice Le Lannou.

Sivaldo Simoncini still remembers him: in short shorts, with a bewildered look but with the air of someone who had generosity etched in his eyes. Only after many years of frequentation, Angelo revealed to us that this was "his first time in a restaurant" and he will never forget his first dish ordered at Rigolo: the robespierre.
