Rigolo, the historic restaurant in Brera, the heart of international creativity, opens its menu and table arrangements to the creative platform of We R Food.
From the fusion of traditional Italian cuisine with the world of design, the WeRFood for Rigolo project was born: four Italian designers invited for the culinary delicacies of the restaurant chef came up with the idea. A design studio will set up the tables. The main idea of the event will be to intervene on the menu and on the presentation of the dishes and the context, only from a formal point of view: the four proposals to the menu will be presented by placing the dishes in the form of a real design project.
The result will be to add value to the essence of the recipes, from the point of view of design aesthetic as well as the kitchen service, without modifying the contents, but acting on the form. An overall process that identifies the balance between decoration and design.
For the table as well: there will be a horizontal installation overlapping the classic restaurant equipment, as if it were an architectural superfetition, a pop up, a temporary installation that functions as overlay and plate.
Vito Nesta, Martinelli Venice, Elena Salmistraro and Zanellato Bortotto are the designers who will present the menu dishes; Studio MiLo will take care of the coordinated graphical design of the table, the menu and the showcases.
