Rigolo was founded in 1958 by Sivaldo and Silvano Simoncini, two Tuscan brothers originally from Chiesina Uzzanese, the land of origin of many historical Milanese restaurateurs.
At that time, you entered the working world at twelve years old: experience was the way to learn and in the kitchen you could discover all the secrets of those who had a long culinary experience.
The hours spent at the restaurant were many - as were also the sacrifices - and loved ones usually met more easily in the workplace. So did the two brothers who, with their respective wives Vilma and Franca, began at an early age their adventure at Rigolo in Brera. Renato, the son of Sivaldo, followed in the footsteps of his parents accompanying them as a child among the tables, sometimes telling poems he learned at school and that customers like Montale and Ungaretti asked him to recite.
Today, with interest, passion and dedication Renato manages il Rigolo with his mother Vilma. With the desire to share with you the next milestone: 60 years of the "history" of Rigolo.
