Satire Room

Details Satire Room

The drawings on the walls of the Satire room are nothing but a series of testimonials of friendship. Amongst them, that of Elda Felluga, president of the enotourism for Friuli Venezia Giulia. Elda has provided the cartoons that are part of the Wine Spirit Project, or rather a fun competition on the theme of the fruits of Bacchus.

So every year the challenge is accepted by hundreds of young people who participate with passion: the subject of wine reveals itself to be a cultural element, an integral part of our daily lives and these drawings prove it.

But in addition to the drawings of Emilio Giannelli, Giorgio Forattini, Alfio Kranic (to mention but a few) among the friends of Rigolo there are many artists, illustrators, writers, journalists, photographers, designers, architects, artists of all kinds, all faithful regulars, which over time have left a mark, a testament to their passage.

Unfortunately some of these have left us: we like to remember Emanuele Pirella that every Tuesday met here with Tullio Pericoli inventing the comic strips of All at Fulvia's on Saturday evening. Together, they dedicated their famous comic strip (Dr. Rigolo) to an imaginary (but not really that much) director of a major newspaper, that looks strangely enough very similar to the Corriere della Sera, which is a short walk from the restaurant. It's taken for granted to remember how Rigolo was (and is) for journalists of the "Corriere" a second home: at Rigolo interviews, ideas, titles and whole pages are conceived.

And then, the designs of Giovanni Gandini, publisher, writer, illustrator, historian, director of Linus and importer to Italy of the counterculture comic strips: his little mice transmit the joy of life. And again, Luciano Francesconi with his surreal way of looking at the world: a historical draughtsman of the Corriere, he also left for all of us a drawing as a symbolic invitation to see the world through sweet, visionary and benevolent eyes
